In Tbilisi traffic a scooter beats a car, which is why it is daily transport for a lot of people here. We treat scooters as full customers, not as an afterthought: variator, belt, electrics and everything else that leaves them standing.
Main scooter jobs
Variator and transmission
The heart of a scooter. We replace the drive belt, check and replace rollers, clean out the variator housing and replace clutch shoes. If your scooter lost acceleration or shudders pulling away, the cause is almost always in here.
Engine and oil
Engine oil (on 4T models), gearbox oil, air filter, spark plug, valve adjustment. Intervals are shorter than on a motorcycle — a small engine spends its life at high revs.
Brakes and running gear
Front disc pads, rear drum shoes, brake fluid, cables, shock absorbers, steering head bearings.
Electrics
No start from the button, battery not charging, lights out — we check the stator, regulator-rectifier, starter and wiring connectors. On Chinese scooters half the faults are corroded contacts rather than dead components.
Tires
Small-diameter scooter tires get mounted and balanced on the same machine as motorcycle wheels — details on the tire page.

Tbilisi streets — hills, traffic, dust — shorten these. That is normal, and far cheaper than a wrecked variator.
Three symptoms not to postpone
Shuddering or squealing as you pull away. That is a worn belt or clutch. A stretched belt eventually snaps on the road, and often damages the variator housing on the way out.
Lost top-end acceleration. Rollers wear unevenly and the scooter starts "revving on the spot" — plenty of noise, no speed.
A flat battery every morning. Usually the regulator-rectifier. Buying a new battery without fixing the cause is money thrown away; the new one will die too.

Yes. They need frequent but cheap servicing, and we do it honestly so the service never costs more than the scooter is worth.
How long does a belt change take?
Usually 1–2 hours including new rollers. Same day if the parts are in stock.

Common consumables are largely interchangeable and arrive quickly — ordering is on the parts page.
